Help with Windows Live Movie Maker?

I got a new computer and I went straight to work on making a new video. When I was done I pressed the save movie and when it was finished, the music was there but no video! It was all black, someone said to take out all the transitions, made no difference. Then said to try publishing it in smaller forms then put it all together afterwards. Nothing even showed up when I did that so I couldn't even put it together. What could be wrong and what am I doing wrong? I have used this program before on a different computer, is it because of the computer and not the program?
