Japanese x Tupi(language research) Empty
PostSubject: Japanese x Tupi(language research)   Japanese x Tupi(language research) Icon_minitimeSat Aug 30, 2014 4:01 am

This is something that caught my eye one of these days! Tupi(Native Brazilian language) is quite similar to Japanese. As for the structure, the sounds and words! I managed to find out some words with equal meanings(I'll post them below). I'm studying Japanese, but I'm just beginning. Also, there's a lot of content in Spanish, I can only speak Portuguese, and that's not enough. Is anyone interested in helping me to dig this deeper?

KAWA CAGUA River
KARI CARI Hunt
WARAU GUARAU Laugh
KURONBOU CUROMBO Black person
TOKUYO TOCUYO Cheap
TEPPEN TEPUY Top
KURO CURO Black
AME AMA Rain
KABE ACAPÊ Wall
ARASHI ARASSY Storm
KURI CURI Chestnut
TATAKU TATACA Attack

This is really fascinating! I would be interested in researching this more if you still are. Also, I've been learning Japanese at school for around three years so I may be of some use on the Japanese side. Very Happy
