I have trouble deciding. It helped me before, but not so much because I didn't know what I ate, it was more of a "I don't want anyone to see this" kind of thinking Wink

I used to have an app that I could use for this but my phone is broken at the moment so I'm glad to have somewhere else I can do this!

So far as a start I haven't completely cut any foods out. But I have Cut back on white bread and replaced it with whole grain. Also I cut back on red meats and I mainly eat chicken instead.

Hi there (I'm Kayla Fernandez on Facebook) Glad to see you over here. No worries you'll get used to the forums here.

I actually use myfitnesspal.com as well to help me keep track of my food. I know we have a food thread here but if you want something else you might want to look at that but keep sharing here as well so others can comment/offer advice, etc.

Smile

I've been eating like crap the past few days, I'm not even going to lie. I need to get on the right track.

The app I was using was myfitnesspal actually. I did not realize there was a website for it! Wow thank you. Now I can track my calories too (:

I tried out the app for myfitnesspal for a while before, but I didn't really understand how I should do. I eat a lot salad where I mix a lot into it, so I didn't know if I should just add "salad" into it and estimate how much it was or if I had to add every single item I mixed into it, but then I would have to count a lot. "x amount of cucumber, x of corn, x of olives, x of..." I don't understand how I can make it accurate.

Sharing the food you eat here isn't only great for you but us others as well. If we all try and eat healthy we might just be able to inspire each other with new things and get new ideas for recipes to try out Smile

Yeah I work at subway and I'll admit I just typed the sub I got into the system, I didn't actually add all of the things that I put on it. But I wasn't looking for a perfect calorie count, I just wanted a rough estimate. I think at this point I'm going to focus more on portions and snacking, instead of calories.

Sometimes when I have a situation like that I just use the quick calorie function and add the calories in myself rather than do each individual item.

I've been spending time with family away from the laptop for the past few days, so I fell off a bit. I started an interval training program called "couch to 5K" but my cousin goes to her boyfriend's on almost a nightly basis and I don't want to run at night alone. So I decided that tonight I'm starting the "5 day flat belly round booty challenge." I'll let you know how that goes

I understand you, I wouldn't want to run outside alone at night either. Especially now that it's so dark outside again.

Good luck with the challenge!

We've done the exercise and food journal for a few weeks now. I wonder how you feel it's working. Does it work for you? Is it not enough? Do you feel anything is lacking?

I know I am a little late to the conversation but I used to be 240 and now I am 180, I would be happy to help with fitness tricks and tips that helped me out with weight loss. I hate sounding like one of those fake ads but you dont need some sort of crazy diet or deluxe gym pass, just will power and commitment :3
