Just Saying "Hi"

Hey there, Homeslices!

I'm Michael, 19 years old and live in a little town near Göttingen, Germany. In october I'll be starting to study political sciences and philosophy...
So I've got that goin’ for me, which is nice

My mother is very musical (she plays the piano and church organ) and introduced me to music pretty early. She sent me to early music education (learning to read music, play the glockenspiel and recorder, etc...). Later I played the trumpet for about a year before losing interest in playing someone elses music^^
Hip-Hop fueled my musical interest for the next couple of years until I wanted to make beats just like my favorite artists. And a computer was everything I needed to start.
My cousin introduced me to FL Studio (8 I think) and got me the demo version to fool around with. After a year or so I got myself the full version... And I stuck with it  

Hip-Hop is still the base for most of the things I do, but I like to mix it with influences from other genres like ambient, rock or electronic music and am open to almost any other genre out there.
As long as I can enjoy it, artificial borders (like genres) don't matter

I'd like to collaborate with vocalists, instrumentalists and other producers because that is something I've hardly ever done^^

In case I'm not doing music I like to fool around with Gimp, read or procrastinate
