Today I decided to try something I almost never do. I maybe do it once every second year, if I'm generous? Baking! And I decided to try and find some more healthy, natural alternatives with no sugar or artificial sweeteners, so I ended up making coconut cakes, which is only coconut, egg whites and a little bit of honey. Then I made banana cupcakes where the banana is the only sweetener. The only bad thing in that one was the flour, but unless you eat plenty it's probably okay once in a while Smile Then I took it to the job and had my boss try it out first to see if she got sick, then a customer got to taste it. No one died, so I finally tried it myself. It was good.

Light yogurt with müsli
3 coconut cookies
Roasted vegetables with salmon
2 banana muffins
4 toast with cheese

1 packet of apple cinnamon oatmeal
A 90 calorie fiber lemon bar thingy
An ice cream bar (whoops)
5 really tiny chicken nuggets
A 6in oven roasted chicken breast sub from subway, on a honey wheat roll with cheddar cheese, lettuce, sweet peppers, chipotle sauce, a smal amount of low cal mayo, and seasonings
Some subway cookies (whoops again)

Drinks:
Not even a full cup of iced coffee

I suck at staying under calories so much so I ended up buying some of those smart ones meal things. I hate them but I think they'll help me get started for now. My issue is I'm a picky eater, there's a limited group of foods I like. It's stupid, but I can't seem to change it.

I'm not familiar with smart meals. What's that? I'm a picky eater too. I never knew it until last year when I was going to eat the buffet on the boat. Since then it became obviously clear.

As for today's meals...

1 banana
Chicken salad (iceberg lettuce, cucumber, corn, olives, chicken)
Pasta & mince gratin (I was away, so the hosts cooked this)
Light yogurt with müsli (coconut, hazelnut, strawberry)
2 coconut cookies (I couldn't get rid of them after I made them, they were too many)

They're these frozen "healthy" meals. Helps you with portion control and such. They suck for the most part but will help me get started.

Ahh. We also have these scoops we can buy at the drugstore that we use to measure our food so we eat the right amount. Like one scoop for potato, one for meat, for one for sauce, one for this and one for that, so the portions are just right. I don't know if there's anything like that where you live. I don't even know where you live! I'm located in Sweden.

Marinated potato with chicken and salad (lettuce, cucumber, corn, olives)

Stayed under 1200 calories yesterday. Not all the best foods, but I'm working on it.

Had a Nutrigrain bar for breakfast
2 hot dogs for lunch
Salad with Ham and Italian dressing
I had 2 of those 100 calorie snack pack things.

Another bad day. It was the first day of the new (temporary for three months) schedule so I got out of sync with everything so I didn't have time to make dinner at all today.

1 banana
Light yogurt with müsli (cacao beans, coconut, raspberry)
2 apples
Pizza
2 toasts with cheese

Shitty day today, my 1yr old fell and hit her head hard. It swelled up really fast and was dark so we ran over to the ER. After sitting for more than 2hrs and not being seen we ended up just leaving because it had gone down some and she seems to be doing okay. Grabbed fast food on the way home cause we hadn't eaten.

Now I'll likely be up all night watching over her to make sure she's okay. She seems to be acting normal so I think everything should be fine, but hard not to worry as a mommy.

By the way, do you have any tricks you use when the urge to eat candy or other snacks kicks in to resist it? Or is it just a lot of self control?

I struggle with that too but I've heard when you get those types of cravings to drink water.
