| I've been wondering if there are more portraits artists on here. This is one of my most recent works and i am sure some of you might be able to reconize her. I also did dave a while ago. | |

| Great painting! What medium are you using? I have done a little realism in oil and am looking to get into portraits as well. You should check out drawmixpaint.com for some tips on painting a portrait that looks really real. http://ataxica.com/images/painting4.png is my 4th painting (the first 3 are meh, but also not realism), although the pic was taken while parts of the picture were wet and some others not. It should be done curing completely in the next 2 months, and I will varnish it and then it will look amazing lol.

| Have you ever tried ArtRage? You can paint there with the effect of using the actual medium. Nice work btw http://ataxica.com/images/painting1.jpg was my first, after watching about 10-15 Joy of Painting episodes from the 80's (thanks Bob Ross!) and the second http://ataxica.com/images/painting2.jpg in the same sort of style, but seascape (and better i might add lol, the first is put away in the attic, the second is hanging on my wall in the living room). Do you use any special brush packs or anything for your photoshop work? I would like to get into digital art more, and actually get more use out of my Cintiq (only the small one though, can't front that much cash with 3 kids lol, glad i got it before we had the last 2) I had to build my own area to do oils in my garage, split off a 10x10 or so area and built a 7ft easel and a still life table and stuff, and staple up black cloth all around for no glare, even installed my own lighting for it to be perfect lol. What did you do the picture in your avatar with? PS? Edit: also, can we see the Dave one? | |

Edit: also, can we see the Dave one? I've never tried that. Lel bob ross he really has good ideas tho i like figuring out my own techniques to do things especially with realism . And I will prob get an atelier area when i have my own place for now at home in an old ass but beautifull house i don't really want to make a mess. Yes the profile picture was created with PS aswell. I don't use special brush packs. Most of my paintings are created with 2 brushes one with strukture for everything and then one smoothening one for some parts to clean the whole thing i am trying to get into textures now tho. I guess the easiest way is to try out making brushes for yourself depending on preference. (watch tutorials it's really easy and practical as i noticed) I really like ur use of colors btw they are really clean. also as wished here is the dave one u might have seen it already tho. | |

| If just completed this painting it's a mixture of portrait and some fiction. Also it was a pretty nice exercise to learn textures | |
