Sup gise! I am currently working on an old-school dubstep track, which is a kind of remix-thing of the track "Koi Koi Koi" by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
The bassline is currently just two notes looped, and the drum track is just a simple loop, so obviously they need a LOT of work, but for the purposes of demonstration it is okay for now.
The general composition is all done, and once I flesh out the rhythm section it will just be a matter of mixing and EQ'ing Very Happy
I would appreciate some feedback- what do you like, what do you think could be improved, etc.
As with most music of this type, I would recommend decent headphones or a speaker system with a subwoofer, because most of the bass is very low-end.

Cheers guys; I hope you like it!

Hi there !
I think some things are too loud in the mix, like the bells, or hats. Maybe too much high gain in your EQ'ing ?
Btw, a good thing to enhance the bass in the mix is to find the harmonics (you can use a spectrum analyzer.. Is that the right term in english?) and add some gain with your EQ. Then, you can hear the bass even if you don't have a sound system or headphones !

But, that sounds great man. Only a little bit of mix working ! Keep it up Smile

Cheers for the advice, slice!
I have taken what you said into account; I have brought the top-end down, brought the bass up into a more speaker-friendly spectrum (although it is still very subby), and I believe I have almost finished the track.
I have a little more work to do, mastering etc., but I'll upload when I'm done and you can hear the result, if you like Very Happy
