Form Suggestions

Hey all, I tried to get all the categories up that were major interests to people on the facebook page but I'm sure I'm missing a few. Take a look around and see what's here (there are some subforums inside of forums) and let me know what else should be added or if you feel like things should be organized another way. I want all you slices to be happy.

What about making some place for RPG games? I mean, not the ones you are playing through computer but the one you are writting, where there's Game Master who rules the world and players that have to act like the charakter he created. I don't know how it's called in english, if it is somehow.

Making something specific to RPG games is a bit trivial for a whole forum section; however, it might make for a good thread of sorts inside of the gaming section! You could be the one to make that thread.

Hmm, maybe it's good idea to first make a topic asking who would be interested in such kind of thing. Yeah, I can do this, but a little bit later, one I'll have some more time.

I made a general section in the gaming category so that things can be put in that may not fit the other forums there.

Okay. And there's one thing to fix: one you are visiting profile of someone from "HomeSlices" group the color of the this persons name is identical to this from background of the forum and it's almost invisible.

Another thing: in edit profile:
- "preferences", in the last "date format" section, there are black numbers on brown background, which is hard to read.
- same thing in "information" where you pick your birthday date
It's just a little detail, but it would be good to change.

I noticed some topics are still marked as "new posts" even when you have already seen them

Are you sure you've seen all the new posts in the forum?

Yep, I'm sure. It is like: I've seen everything, turn of computer, some time later turn it on again and this same "new posts" happened again everywhere, where some except me wrote something.

So all the forums are showing up as new posts when you come on after being off for a bit?

Hmm, that's interesting. I'll try to investigate that further. I tried seeing if I could make it happen on my end but it hasn't.

I was just thinking: this site is really good thing, but in order to hold it good we must get there the most people from facebook that we can. Shouldn't we take care of the post in the group so everyone can see this? Or just repeat it in order to show that it's getting better?

I miss a section fort video making; there's music, art, games... But nothing for people on Youtube who do stuff not related to these ones.

Yeah I was trying to figure out how I wanted to put in the video section here. Not sure if it should be a forum within one of the categories or if it should have a full section of it's own.

But that's why I'm looking for suggestions from you all

What forums would fit nicely under the Video category?

Maybe "video capturing"?

How is the moderator transferal going?
And will the trial moderators be admins on here as well, or first when their trial have ended, and they'd become real admins?

There's really no reason to make someone an admin on here because being a moderator you can do basically everything aside from changing how the forum looks and such.
